Is Their Something Wrong With This Guy? Dud I Do Something Wrong?!?!?!?

So, I have known this guy ever since grade seven, and I’m in grade nine. I’ve always liked him, but this past year, I have started to like him more.. :3
Anyways, were in the same homebase, so I started playing with my IPhone (4) and he was like “Hey, you have one of those?” and I let him see it, lol.
Eventually he took out his phone, and I asked for his number. He wouldn’t give it to me! I was like dude! In my head..
So these past few days, we’ve been talking more, and he’s also been acting different too. Today he flashed his phone, when I was opening my lock, and was like umm ok? Then received a text, (this is next block) and read it to me, it was some girl saying she was pissed.
Anyways, today on FB we were talking, and the conversation went longer than normal (I’m always the one to start the conversation) and I asked him why he flashed his phone, all he said was “idk” and then said “Still won’t give me your number hmm?” he didnt answer, at all after that.
What does this mean? Does he like me? Playing hard to get? Why won’t he give me his #?
